the Scottish Weaver "Jura" undyed Wool Blanket
The untamed island of Jura is one of the wildest places in Scotland. Located off the mainland's West coast, the long and narrow island is known for its soaring mountains known as the Paps of Jura, a dramatic raised beach at West Loch Tarbert, and swirling whirlpools of the “Corryvreckan”, a narrow between Jura and Scarba. The local population of just 200 people are hugely outnumbered by over 5,000 wild deer. The one distillery is famous for a single malt named after the island itself.
One of the most famous writers of the 20th century, George Orwell lived in a remote cottage where he found the peace and quiet he needed to complete his most famous masterpiece novel, “1984”
